What is your purpose in life?
There's got to be more to life than working to pay bills and dying, right? What is purpose? Matter of fact what is YOUR purpose? Some say just find out what you're good at and pursue it. Others say find out what you like and go from there. But is there something more? What can our purpose be?
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). God has a purpose for all of us. With His direction we can fulfill it. But we can't do it alone. Sometimes it can seem murky what we're supposed to do. Jesus says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." He never said clean yourselves before you come to Me, or fix up your life before coming to Me. He simply says to go to Him. Go to Him as you are and ask Him what you need to do. Humble yourselves before the Lord so He can do His works within you.
In the Old Testament, when the Israelites touched or ate something unclean they had to go through a purification process where they were separated from the rest of the community for a certain period of time and then before returning to their people they had to be cleansed. Before learning what your purpose is or even how to execute it, there must first be a separation from the world. Completely cutting off the world from its hold and influence on you and being able to commune with God. Only then you can communicate with Him without worldly interferences.
Cutting off the world, yeah easier said than done and how do I do that anyway? Good question. In today's day and age social media plays in a big part of our communication. We can find out what our coworkers had for breakfast this morning on Instagram. Taking a break on social media outlets can be a start.
The next step is toxic relationships. Are there any people in your lives that are inhibiting you from prospering? These can be friends, family members boyfriends/girlfriends or even spouses. Toxic people have no good purpose in your life except to make you stronger and to get rid of them once you've realized they are toxic to you and your life's purpose. Ways of determining if someone in your life is toxic is to evaluate if they hurt your feelings constantly, degrade or embarrass you or even hurt you physically. If they do any of these especially hurt you physically please alert someone you trust immediately or even call the police.
The next step is to read the Word of God. Now I know that can seem like a daunting or maybe even a boring task. But whether you're a believer or not, you were not made by mistake or chance. You have a purpose. Reading the Bible first off shows you other men and women who have fulfilled and unfulfilled their purposes. It shows you their relationship with God, and God's lengths taken to help them throughout the easy and hard times in their lives. Reading the Bible will help you realize God's purpose for you. Men like David used his talent as a shepherd, a talent that people back then thought was nothing to be celebrated, to defeat a giant who threatened Israel and ultimately becoming King of Israel. The Bible shows us that no one is too small, or unimportant to fulfill something greater than ourselves.
The final step is prayer. Sounds simple? That's because it is. But it requires faith, and God knows we are fickle people so all He requires is faith the size of a mustard seed. If you Google what a mustard seed looks like you'll see how tiny it is but after that take a look at a mustard tree, with time, watering, hard work and love, that seed becomes a HUGE tree. God is so good that He has representations on this earth to help us understand His love for us. Pray to Him there's no need for fancy words or even words at all because God says "Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
Make a life change today your life and your purpose are all in God's hands. God wants to give you all the gifts and blessings this life has to offer but there's something you must do first. Love Him and serve Him. Find out how by praying and reading His word. Only then, can He reveal to you His true purpose for you. After all, He does know everything.

Have you noticed that now-a-days sex is everywhere? According to the Ohio State University research team, Men generally think about sex 19 times a day and women 10 times a day on average. Some respondents in the study had a recorded thought of sex every 2 minutes! This study shows us that sex has taken over our very lives! With fast and easy access to pornography and casual hook-ups, this generation has quickly developed a desensitization to sex. This can have serious effects on one's health and psyche.
The problem is not having sex, the issue is the age of the "sex-havers" and the types of sex they're having. Most girls who start having sex early are most likely to engage in abusive relationships and partake in abusive sex habits. Some women report to enjoying mutilation during sex like choking and experiencing other forms of pain. Let's get real y'all, that's not okay at all neither is it signs of a healthy relationship.
But where can the beginning of the problem be pinpointed? One word, media. Research shows that children who become sexually active by 13 are at higher risk of unprotected sex and use of drugs and alcohol before sex; which results in STDs and unwanted pregnancies. More than 66% of boys and 40% of girls after recorded, wanted to try sexual behaviors they saw in the media and social media according to the research by Dr. Jennings Bryant.
With Instagram's ban on nudity no being as effective since approving- or not reprimanding visible breasts, more and more users are inclined to post sex scenes, sex memes or photos of celebs or even themselves topless.
So the question is, why does this generation feel the need to over sexualize themselves? Especially as women, what has happened to us that we only see our value in our naked bodies? For the young women and teen girls who are looking for men's affirmation, do they really achieve love and proper attention by taking off their clothes? And what about the young men and teen boys? If all we show them is our bodies why would they pay attention to anything else? How will they know that we have anything else to offer? Do you have anything else to offer?
When women make themselves sexual objects that's all they can ever be, nothing more. And men, when you take off her clothes whether it's physical or in your mind, you're partaking in dehumanizing her and damaging your mind. It's time to stop blaming the lame excuse of "I'm a man I can't help it" If you're truly a man you can control your actions. Being susceptible to sex addiction and having a hard time maintaining a healthy relationship is no laughing matter.
Giving up on casual sex and sexual images is not easy, with almost 60% of the advertisements using sexual content online and television it's hard to escape. But it's not impossible. Music you listen to on the way to school or work that contains sexual lyrics continue to resonate with you throughout your day. Limiting what you watch and listen to can be the beginning of a healthy mind and sex life for the future.
